Over 250 Kids showed up at the Amherst Youth Center for a night filled of many activities.
Phatman Boardshop helped sponsor the event to raise money for The National Organ Donors Foundation.
Kids 15 and under enjoyed the Phatman Demo, we gave all the kids a first chance at skating our street course or a try on a longboard in honor of Alix.
Don Holler of the GHH skatepark, produced two bricks of love in honor of Alix Rice. One brick will be placed at the GHH Memorial Skatepark in Tonawanda. The presentation of bricks of love were presented to Alix’s mom, Tammy by Fran Knab. Other activities throughout the night included the creation of the spirt chain which was also given to Tammy. Thanks to our volunteers (Dez, Nick, Reed, Joe, David and Tom) who helped to pull the event off.
