Snowboard Films Preview. Our Opinion

It’s about that time of year again when all the teasers and previews you watched over at YoBeat and Snowboarder with your pants down over summer have come to full circle. Opening up 2014’s, is it considered next year’s films? Doesn’t matter, but kicking down the door is Lick The Cat’s film, ‘Project LTC’ which is now available to watch for free over at snowboardmag.com. The LTC crew consists of anybody who’s down to ride for ’em but some names that are familiar are Sage Kotsenburg, Sam Taxwood, Ben Bilodeau, Spencer Schubert and Max & Gus Warbington (DeadLung is in there too). From the looks of the video, they’re always down to party. Morning, Day or Night. I’d hide your girlfriend, sister, mom and grandma from these dudes cause nobody’s safe.lick_the_cat_Mammoth_snowboarding_videos

I could sit here and tell you all the 270’s on or pretzel outs and how many rotations that were nailed but if you really want to know just go watch the ‘effin movie. It’s a got bangin’ soundtrack too. When the last time you heard Sean Kingston in a video part? It’ll probably re-ignite that guy’s career. Overall ‘Project LTC’ is a FUN movie to watch. It gets you hyped to go shred and do stupid shit with your buds. Enough with the serious Gatorade-esque editing, its making everybody uncomfortable. Kudos to Lick the Cat for making another easy going movie to watch.

OTHER MOVIES TO GET FULLY TORQUED FOR:

Nike’s “Never Not”

It’s Nike so it will probably be good. Two Parts to it. Starring Gigi Rüf, Justin Bennee, Johnnie Paxson, Halldor Helgason, Nicolas Müller, Jed Anderson and others. It’ll be a clean and sharp video. Drops mid September.

Transworld’s “Nation”

Some big names in this video with expected bigger parts. From Austin Sweetin to DCP. Quite the variety of riders which all have different styles. This formula usually equals a pretty rad movie.

Videograss’ “The Last Ones”

Creative snowboarding at its finest. Gnarly crew. Gnarly tricks. Balls to the wall attitude. Already premiered with damn good reviews. The ender is from a fella from the great state of Minnesota. Personally pretty torqued on this film (cause we’re so hipster).

Burton’s 4-part series “[SNOWBOARDING]”

Street. Backcountry. Resort. and Women’s riding. Not much else you really can ask for. It’s a four part series so calm yourself and be patient. The teaser is well done so the expectations are high from the boys & girls from Burton.

Jake Blauvelt’s “Naturally”

Backcountry ain’t no walk in the park. Blauvelt’s “Naturally” took two years to film and get ready to go. That’s determination and having riders like Kazu, Eric Jackson and Terje Haakonsen with parts. Hot damn. Drops Friday, September 11th.

Absinthe’s “Dopamine”

Absinthe does a killer job on videos. After last year’s “Resonance”, everyone is expecting a film to match and exceed. Excited to see parts from Brandon Cocard, Blair Habernicht, Cale Zime, Bode Merrill and Victor De Le Rue.  Just a few heavy hitters to be featured in this upcoming film.

Think Thank “Is Brain Dead and Having a Heart Attack”

Think Thank comes into the season swinging with “Is Brain Dead and Having a Heart Attack.” Brandon Hammid, Jaeger Bailey, Ted Borland, Brandon Reis, Sammy Luebke, Nick Visconti, Curtis Woodman, Sean Genovese…I’m sorry are those enough names to get you stoked for this movie? That’s not even the full list. We got a winner.

That’s just a shortlist of whats coming out for the 2014 season. Transworld has already done the work of getting the teasers/previews for you on their site. Click the link to waste about a half hour watching the teasers. Make sure you turn off the lights and lock the door too. Some of the videos are already out so don’t be a sleazeball and steal them off the internet. If you already have well then…you have a Taco-ing awaiting you this season.
