Capita: Defenders of Awesome Video Premiere at Phatman
On October 22nd – Capita Snowboarding presents it’s second full length team video featuring: Scott Stevens, Jess Kimura, Brandon Cocard , Laura Hadar, Phil Jacques, Cale Zima, Dan Brisse, TJ Schneider, Dustin Craven and many more…
We’re premiering it AT THE SHOP on our many many TV screens, so there will be plenty of places to watch.
Also we will be having a free VIP Drink access (for 21 and over) and guest PRO APPEARANCES and also an after party at a yet to be named venue.
Mark your calendars because this is a video premiere you do not want to miss.

Amherst Youth Foundation Event
Over 250 Kids showed up at the Amherst Youth Center for a night filled of many activities.
Phatman Boardshop helped sponsor the event to raise money for The National Organ Donors Foundation.
Kids 15 and under enjoyed the Phatman Demo, we gave all the kids a first chance at skating our street course or a try on a longboard in honor of Alix.
Don Holler of the GHH skatepark, produced two bricks of love in honor of Alix Rice. One brick will be placed at the GHH Memorial Skatepark in Tonawanda. Â The presentation of bricks of love were presented to Alix’s mom, Tammy by Fran Knab. Other activities throughout the night included the creation of the spirt chain which was also given to Tammy. Thanks to our volunteers (Dez, Nick, Reed, Joe, David and Tom) who helped to pull the event off.

Alix Rice Middle School Benefit / Saturday Sept 17th / 7pm
This Saturday the Amherst Youth Foundation is holding a benefit for Alix Rice, a local skateboarder who passed away in a car accident.
The event will take place at the Amherst Youth Foundation @ 5005 Sheridan Drive in Amherst from 7-9:30pm and is FREE to all. There will be food, drinks, games and Phatman will be raffling away a longboard. Middle School students and parents only.

Ives Park Vans Clean Up
Once again we partnered with Vans to clean up our local skate park. This time we were at Ives Park and everyone in attendance got a free Vans hat, water bottle, hot dogs and water. Thanks to all the skaters who came out, it was fun as usual!

Vans’ & Phatman Niawanda Park Clean-Up! Longboarders!
Meet us out at our tent this Saturday for some skating, food and prizes to help keep our neighborhoods and parks clean!
Sponsored by Vans, they will be supplying everything you need to pick up trash in the park while giving everyone in attendance a Vans water bottle and hat.
Vitamin Water will also be in attendance giving out drinks to all that come out.
Scavenger contest will also be held to win a pair of Vans shoes!
